My name is Keara Correia and a children's author, I strongly believe that we should start teaching our young ones about different career paths and the opportunities available to them from an early age. Kids are exposed to many different professions, and it's essential to cultivate their curiosity and fascination for the world of work. By doing so, we can help children develop a good understanding and appreciation of the vast array of job opportunities that exist around the world.
One of the best ways to help children learn about different careers is by offering them relatable experiences that will introduce the concepts of working and achieving in small, doable ways.
My goal is to use books to introduce children to different careers by creating informative and fun slice-of-life stories that show what they do in their job. For instance, a book that takes children through a day in the life of a baker, showing how she creates delicious cakes or bread, and the joy and happiness it brings them as well as the people they bake for during special moments in their lives. There are so many people with amazing jobs and books is a great way to showcase that to our children at a young age.
By using books to introduce career concepts, we can create a positive impression of the world of work in young minds in an entertaining and informative way.
